LongMetal Robotics Summer Camp

Igniting Young Minds in STEM

LongMetal Robotics hosted an exciting Summer Camp for elementary and middle school kids, orchestrated by their talented high school robotics team. The young participants embarked on an educational journey with LEGO Spike Prime robots, mastering a dozen tabletop missions that challenged their problem-solving and teamwork skills. Thrillingly, they even got hands-on experience driving the LongMetal 2023 competition robot, More Cowbell, and the cutting-edge BumperBots.

The camp provided a positive and inclusive environment where children from all walks of life could participate, and friendships were formed across age groups. The mentorship provided by the high school students created an inspiring atmosphere of camaraderie, fostering a sense of belonging and support for the younger kids.

Beyond the fun and learning, the camp also served as a meaningful fundraiser for the LongMetal robotics program. By fostering STEM education within the community, the camp lived up to its mission of cultivating young minds in science and technology. The high school mentors took pride in inspiring the next generation of tech enthusiasts, leaving a lasting impact on these bright young minds. LongMetal Robotics' Summer Camp truly kindled the spark of passion for STEM, paving the way for a brighter future of innovation.
